Marielena Fernandez

Mari is the Youth Development Specialist at DREAM.

Emily Hynes

Year Up (NYC)

I changed jobs in May 2022 and am now working for Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance as a Program Associate. I am loving my new job so far, and am excited that I get to work with those directly affected by ovarian cancer through our support groups, our advocacy program, and our peer mentorship program.

Meredith Jones

Jumpstart (NYC)

I am the Administrative Assistant at Neighborhood Villages and pursuing my EdS in School Psychology from UMASS Boston.

Angela Ortiz

Generation Citizen (Boston)

Iโ€™m working as the Assistant to the Director at the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at Harvard. My colleagues are thoughtful and kind and Iโ€™m learning lots about museum practice, particularly at a museum that holds the cultural heritage of so many groups across the world. Party inspired by them, Iโ€™m hoping to pursue a degree in library sciences soon!

Year Up (Philadelphia)

This year was a bit of a professional whirlwind. After deciding the role I started in January was not a good fit for me, I sought to return to the nonprofit world, and am glad to say I landed at Jobs for the Future (JFF), an organization doing workforce development and economic advancement, but in a different way than my Fellowship host organization, Year Up. So far I’m loving being a “JFFer,” and look forward to increased responsibilities for our Employer Mobilization team and Center for Justice & Economic Advancement this year! I am also glad to be remaining on with the Fellowship as the manager. It’s such a joy to get to work with and learn from the current Fellows, and share the opportunity with college seniors.
