We host several online info sessions during the application cycle as well as “Ask Me Anything” events on Instagram.
These events are the best way to meet current Fellows and learn about the Fellowship experience. Prospective Fellows as well as college career and fellowship advisers are encouraged to attend.
Find out how hosts select Fellows and what we’re looking for in a candidate. You’ll hear directly from current FAO Schwarz Fellows, alumni Fellows, and Executive Director Priscilla Cohen. Learn how Fellows use this experience to launch a career in social impact and ask questions about direct service and strategic projects. Each info session includes lots of time for questions.
We use Zoom for our online info sessions. If you aren’t familiar with Zoom, you can learn more by visiting their website.
We’ll email you a Zoom link before the session. Please join using the link so you can see the presentation slides.
“Ask Me Anything”
Our “Ask Me Anything” events are hosted on Instagram by current Fellows. Fellows take over the Instagram account a couple of times a year to answer your questions about the Fellowship.
Follow @faofellows on Instagram to participate. You can also DM or email us with questions in advance. There is no need to register in advance.
We enable live captions and auto-transcription during our Zoom presentations. Participants can choose to view the captions or not. These live captions are saved along with the cloud recording which is posted on our website after the session.
Auto-transcription is not perfect or ideal for everyone—we will also make an edited version of the transcript available on request.
If you require other accommodations, please email us in advance, and we’ll do our best to meet your needs. If you have any questions or suggestions on the accessibility of this website, please let us know.
View a recording of a one last year’s info session on our YouTube channel. Please note that some of the information will not be up-to-date and that new hosts won’t be announced until the fall of 2024.
